Persimmon(Kaki) can easily withstand our winters. Its fruit appears in autmumn and unusually, the fruit of this tree becomes riper after night-frost! The more mature the fruit, the sweeter it tastes. The fruit can usually be picked at the end of October or at the beginning of November.

Nikta's Gift is a  grafted and self-pollinating, seedless cultivar. It might also be hardier, though protection is still recommended during severe frosts.
