Product description

Pennisetum alopecuroides Viridescens is commonly called Black-flowered fountain grass or Black-seeded fountain grass. It has purple brush-like flowers that were used to clean oil lamps with. This ornamental grass grows up to 75 cms tall and is a popular addition to many gardens, either as a solitary eye catcher or to full up a spot with fountain like ornamentals. At the end of summer, the brushes turn a silvery grey, the leaves turn yellowish green. That way, even in fall and winter, your garden will have some colour variation. Prefers a well drained soil in full sun, though it is not extremely picky. A perfect plant with a multitude of applications.
